This is a private reference site that operates independently of every government office. It neither stores official criminal files nor files documents, retrieves records, or performs official background checks for users.

Its role is to identify the custodians of Scotts Bluff County records, including the Sheriff's records office, the County and District Courts, the Nebraska State Patrol Criminal Identification Division, and the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry. It may also link to outside tools that assist with research. Official government records remain subject to the Nebraska Public Records Statutes, Neb. Rev. Stat. §§84-712 through 84-712.09, their exemptions, and the rules of the agency or court that holds them.
